An IEP (Individual Education Plan) should highlight one’s strengths in a learning environment as well as focus on areas that are a struggle. This is a great example of how an amazingly creative individual did not fit into the ‘mainstream’ ideal, and it was OK! It is necessary to not forget one’s strengths while trying to improve one’s weaknesses.
